Okay, I love GOING to baseball games. Don’t make me listen or watch on TV, though. Just the whole experience of going to a live baseball game, whether it’s Class D Softball or going to the Traverse City Beach Bums, is a great way to spend a summer evening. We just got a professional baseball team in our town this summer and we went to our first game last night. It was great fun and even though we bought tickets in person 1-1/2 hrs before the game, we got seats in the 3rd row on the 1st base line near home.
NOTE: Do not buy tickets on the web. Call the establishment directly for the best seats. I think this is probably true for all sporting/concert events.
Anyway, we had a blast and can’t wait to go again. The food is fairly reasonably priced — typical of carnival food and was tasty to boot. My husband was famished after I fed him pb&j for lunch and ate:
- a J-ville brat
- most of an order of cheese nachos
- a hot dog
- a can of labatt’s
- a large pop
- and finished it off with popcorn for desert!
Pretty impressive for someone as skinny as he is 🙂
Anyway, we had a blast and will be going to another game for sure. Now if I could just figure out how the scorecards work….
