I’ve been contemplating joining since I heard of this and really need to do it. So many things are just not working for me and I’m not putting my energy where I want it to go. I’ve been lazy and overwhelmed and wasting time on unimportant things.

May 2009 Goals
Reading: Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. It’s on loan from the library. It’s due 5.22.
Craft: More work than craft :). I have a bunch of fall towels that are crummy as towels but will make great washcloths. Need to cut and sew them. I also have some templates I want to put up on here for making journals. Does that count?
Projects:
- Office – Ughhh. I don’t even want to think about that. I sold all my office furniture and now all of my office supplies, paperwork and other junk (office is my catch-all room), is on the floor in the closet in there.
- Massive STUFF purge – As of last week Mr. Bones is content to stay here if the house doesn’t sell. But I’m still going through all my stuff as if we were. I spend WAAAAAAY too much time administering, organizing, moving, rearranging and putting away STUFF. I have a huge pile downstairs that needs to be sorted, listed and/or donated.
Homemaking:
- Kitchen: I’m trying to keep the kitchen clean. EVERY DAY. Because next thing I know 5 dishes have spiraled into every counter COVERED in stuff, dirty dishes, food and garbage. And my house isn’t small so it’s a LOT of stuff!
- Meal Planning: I’m going to try to keep grocery shopping to monthly or every 2 weeks. I’ve also tried to create a bare bones plan with grocery needs for month with a few things to be added (5-6 meals, bread details, etc.). Hoping to eventually get this so I know how much i will/should spend on groceries for the month.
- Laundry: A load a day, put away and everything, every day (except weekends). We have a big front loader and there isn’t always enough of one type of load to do one every day.
I don’t have my stuff together enough to even THINK that I might be able to do these daily. These are the things I’m going to be more aware of.
- Couponing — I don’t need to get EVERY deal. Especially toiletries that require a special trip; I am personally stocked for well over a year.
- Errands — I feel like I spend all day in a car everyday. I swear all I did this week was errands, nap, more errands, nap, cook dinner. Seriously.
- Internet — too much screwing around and not enough time paying attention to Lil’ Bit. I’m elminating stuff left and right. So I need to enter contests to win more stuff because why???
- Paperwork/Money — need to ruthlessly purge and keep my tracking simple. Right now I am using Quicken for memorized transactions and to balance the check book, notepad and spreadsheets to track per Your Money Or Your Life, and iBearSoft Money on my iphone to try to migrate BOTH of those to one system on my phone. Plus, I’ve been tracking all my purchases on my other blog. Sheesh.
- Exercise. Getting some in would be marvy. Starting BEFORE I get pregnant again, yeah, that would be nice, too!
- Prayer. I’d like to get a little more of that done also. Feel scattered without it.
