I was in church today and I this caught my ear from the second reading (2 Corinthians 8:15):
As it is written: He that had much, had nothing over; and he that had little, had no want.
In other words, God gives us all what we need and what he wants us to have…no more, no less. So if we don’t have as much as someone else, we should not be jealous or covetous of more. If we have more than another, we are to be grateful for what we do have and share with others.
That’s a beautiful way to think about what we have…I need to keep this near the top of my head. Contentment is always hard for me.
