I didn’t make a huge announcement that I was pregnant, so I’m not going to make a huge announcement that I am no longer pregnant. We had a miscarriage last week. And if that wasn’t crappy enough, I lost my keys while in the ER AND a book that I was reading so that I could review it.

We are doing okay. By which I mean, me. Bones is okay as long as I don’t lose it. I seem to have a great amount of peace with it. Will it hit me hard later? Maybe. I guess only time will tell.

I had a great time at a twitter party last Saturday with Once a Month Mom & even won something! I got a Gerber prize pack. No idea what’s in it, but if I can’t use it, I’ll give it to the Pregnancy Care Center. I’m sure they will be able to use it if I can’t.

I love blogger giveaways. The odds are SOOOOO much better than say, the Lotto. And they are free, so yeah, why not?

I have been super busy, like to the tune of 7 washed loads of laundry sitting in every laundry basket and hamper I OWN, not put away. Bones & his business partner are splitting up the business and I have been helping. I’ve created all the content for the website and I’m working on the marketing materials/plan. Busy, busy, busy.

I love Lil’ Bits curly blonde hair and dimples. And her laugh. She is such a joy to me!

Got any good recipes for Chicken? That’s what is in the fridge and I would like to use some before I pack the rest in the freezer :). B/S breasts. Anyone?

[…] had to push back Be Holy because, well, I lost it when I went to the ER a few weeks back, I think. I have to look around more. The rest I pushed out to next month […]

I just thought you should know your google ad’s on your sidebar linked to sites for the Morning after pill and Abortion. 🙁 It also had sites for adoption and such but those two disturbed me and I thought you might like to know.

Thanks for letting me know!! I went in and removed what I think the offending categories of ads would be last night.

18 October 2009 at 8:38 AM (15 years ago)Finally got around to doing the 7 quick takes myself! Chicken Recipes… hmm. I always like Chicken tortilla soup:
32oz chicken stock
1 or two cans diced/crushed mexican style tomatoes
1 can of corn
about 2 cups of water
1 bay leaf
2 garlic cloves minced
1 small onion chopped
1/8 tsp red pepper
chili powder to taste
salt and pepper to taste
1 or 2 cooked skinless boneless chicken breasts cut into small pieces
–put everything but the chicken into a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer for 5 min or so (time not crucial). Add chicken and simmer for 10 min more. Serve with grated cheese, tortilla chips, and sour cream.
Variations: we seem to always add some salsa to this too when cooking it, Rob likes it with tabasco sauce and lots of red pepper, me not so much. I do like it with a small can of mild chopped green chilis or with beans. It’s a pretty customizable recipe to what you have on hand.

16 October 2009 at 12:01 PM (15 years ago)Sorry about the loss of your baby. That’s hard! I like blogging giveaways too! I haven’t won anything in a while, but I’m wearing a pair of KEEN shoes that I won in a giveaway, isn’t that cool?
I love to cook with chicken. Something easy: mix the cooked chicken( cut in pieces) with 1 cup of salsa and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and 1 can of milk. Layer the bottom of a casserole dish with torn tortillas. Add the chicken mixture on that and cheese over the whole thing. Cook for 1 hour or until bubbly at 350/ Serve over brown rice: yummy!
