Sigh…I completely fell asleep on the pro-life front this year.    If you aren’t aware of it, 40 Days for Life has already started and the Life Chain has come and gone.   Mark your calendars for next September and I will try to be more on top of it next year.
I also got an email with some great pro-life events from Priests for Life last week and I thought I would share some of it.
* First, from Jan 9-16, there will be a Pro-life Catholic Radio Cruise, embarking from Miami for the Caribbean. Janet Morana, Marcus Grodi, and other well-known personalities in the Catholic media world will be joining me. We want to book our guests by the end of this month, so please see more details at http://www.priestsforlife.org/activities/cruise.pdf. This sounds FABULOUS!
* If you are in or near New Jersey, people of all faiths worldwide will join with one voice to pray for Life and Peace at an amazing event to be held on October 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Americaâs main prayer center at the Blue Army Shrine of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Washington, NJ. For more details see the events page at http://www.priestsforlife.org/eventsnew.html.
* Also, Tuesday, October 20 is the Pro-life Day of Silent Solidarity. Priests for Life is a co-sponsor of this national event in which people – many of them students – choose to remain silent for the entire day to bring attention to the silent victims of abortion. This event saves lives! Find out more at http://www.SilentDay.org.
* Invite your parish to participate in the National Night of Prayer on December 8. This is a simultaneous, annual observance to beg God for the end of abortion and the protection of our unborn brothers and sisters. The Priests for Life website will carry more details.
Lots of great efforts being put forth by Priests for Life.  I especially LOVE their booklet, In The Palm Of His Hand. It has beautiful, pro-life stations of the cross, rosary mysteries and a whole host of other pro-life prayers. It’s a wonderful resource.
Do you know of any pro-life events?  Let us know in the comments!
