If your house is anything like mine, much of your furniture is of the “some assembly required” variety. In our house, we gravitate toward black or as close as we can get since REAL furniture with black lacquer is near impossible to find. I’ve noticed that it doesn’t always keep it’s finish. In fact, chips and scrapes are near impossible with little ones. My secret to keeping them looking black (from a distance)?
Don’t tell anyone….
A black Sharpie!
Any time there is a chip or the paint comes off, I just color it black with a sharpie. This works for brown furniture too, just use the right color brown. What do you think those expensive furniture markers are?
