This month, I decided to join Life As Mom in her Booking It 2011 book of the month: Finding Your Purpose as a Mom: How to Build Your Home on Holy Ground by Donna Otto. I tell you I all but devoured it over Holy Week.
It was the perfect mix of inspiration and practical application. I so totally want to read it again. Slowly. And work through the questions at the end of the chapter. But I have to finish my other studies first. I just don’t have time for another right now. Maybe in the fall — anyone up for that?
Anyway, the thing that I loved the most is that it was so personal and she didn’t try to bully you into doing certain things. I’ve read books by Elizabeth George and I get this laundry list of things I NEED to do. You don’t get that with this book. She gently leads you and suggests things that are important but doesn’t give you a must do list and timetable on which to do them. I like that, because I hate being told what to do.
Anyway, I totally adored this book and hope someone will host a book study :). If you do, let me know!!!! If not, I guess I’ll do it myself later this year 🙂
Have you read this? What did you think of it?
