My daughter is in that age where she is and wants to be a big girl, but she’s still a little girl in a big world. Our most recent battle is the lights. She told us she was afraid of the dark so we bought a nightlight. Turns out that didn’t help things at all, she just wanted someone to go with her.
The night light DOES make it so that she doesn’t need help turning on a bright light in the middle of the night. Kidswitch makes these neat glow-in-the-dark light switch extenders for kids. Boy could I have used one of these last year when she WANTED to do things herself!
