This week
We finally got back on the wagon after our company left — I think we did school every day. No small feat in this house!
Lil’ Bit just turned 4 and we did several things this week.
We spent a lot of time playing Sight Words Go Fish. I’ve tried 2 different learn to read programs and they both bore her. I just ordered the reading stuff from Peace Hill Press which I think will suit her better. I’ll let you know how that goes!
We also did some activities from Homeschool Creations. We worked on her Preschool Pack for The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats.
We did work from the Valentine’s Day packs from both Homeschool Creations and Over the Big Moon.
We worked on valentines for far reaching grandparents and uncles.
And we worked on Raising Rock Stars Preschool letter E using the book My A B C Bible Verses. When I first got the book, I wasn’t thrilled with it, but the RRSP materials make it totally worthwhile.
Next Week
We still have lots of Valentines pages left. There are plans for valentines day treats & dinner for our cousin who just had a baby. We will probably do another RRSP verse and hopefully work through our Weekly Reader backlog. Maybe some nature study, too. We will see.
I’m finding that it works much better to not plan too far ahead. Not sure why. I’m the uber-planner.
Any thoughts?
