I have to say that I am constantly challenged by the products from Eternal Encouragement.    Hubby and I have been having knock-down, drag out fights about the house for the last couple of months.   Yeah.   I was working on making things better and trying to get my poop in a group and I made the “mistake” about asking his opinion.   Little did I know that I would get a deluge of pent up annoyance.  Daily.   For weeks on end.

Now that we’ve come to some sort of happy medium, I have to say in all honesty, if I had been paid to do what I do, I’d have been fired years ago.   While my house was always organized, it was still over an hour from company-ready without the kids asleep and hubby helping.  And definitely not ready for entertaining business associates.

I was given the Encouragement bundle (Colorado Power Pack Audio Set) to review for April/May and the audio that really caught my attention prior to listening to them was Welcome Home, Daddy.  I listened to that one first and just seethed.  I was still pretty peeved at him and creating the environment as Lorrie suggested?   Well, lets just say that I wasn’t ready to hear it yet.

I’ve been reading mommy blogs for so long, especially homeschool mom’s, and many have been completely honest about NOT being able to do it all, and none of us SHOULD try to do it all.   And I’d been using that as an excuse to not do what I didn’t like to do in the name of valuing people over projects.   There were so many audio’s in this set that hit me, right where I am — Cheerful Children & Challenging Chores, Dawdling & Diligence, and ESPECIALLY Attitude Adjustments.

Our God is not a god of chaos, he is a God of order.   The sun doesn’t fail to come up because he misplaced it.   And so MY world must be ordered.   Much like the Proverbs 31 woman, I need to get up early, work all day, be productive and go to bed late.   I miss reading a book a week.   But my husband is happier, my kids are learning that work is important and they need to contribute, and that was a much needed set for me at this point.

If this sounds like something you could use, Lorrie is offering one lucky Gabby Mom’s reader a copy.    Please visit this link to enter to win a copy of the Encouragement Bundle from Enternal Encouragement!   Do not leave a comment on this post to enter the contest; it is NOT a valid form of entry.

Have you ever had an epiphany regarding changes in the way you live?

I miss reading a book week also….but as you and I have been reminded it is more important to have a happy hubby, semi-organized home, helpful children and peace.
My changes need to be more in supporting my hubby in his decisions. I really struggle with that one, but have been shown recently that doing so IS the best way.

Wow! So much in your review hit me!
First, I’ve never heard of “poop in a group”! I love it and now must make it my own!
Second, Ouch! about being fired if this had been a paying job. I totally get that!
Third, I’ve really been learning about God being a God of order and not chaos and how that applies to my home. Thanks for the reminder!
