While working on a story for Traverse Bay Family Magazine, I sent a request for a sample to EcoCentric Mom for one of their monthly baby boxes. I’ve been dabbling in the monthly box trend for months and have just never bothered to share a review of one yet.
EcoCentric Mom
Ecocentric Mom was created when the founder was researching products and realized how many toxic chemicals we put in and on our bodies. It can be overwhelming to try to find better options and Ecocentric Mom is dedicated to helping you find the most ethical, sustainable, and honest businesses and the highest-quality products. Their monthly boxes let you sample healthy, safe products every month so that you can find exactly the right products for your family without the commitment of purchasing a full size. Their motto is Discover Healthy, Buy Healthy, Be Healthy and their goal is to help you do just that.
The Product
Ecocentric Mom has three different types of boxes available for $17 a month. You can get a box for mom’s of any age filled with 5-6 products from beauty products, home care and even food and nutritional products. You can get a box for pregnant mama’s to be and there is also a box for babies aged 0-18 months.
My thoughts
Overall, I really liked the quality and assortment of items received in the Baby Box that I was sent for review. The July box was for founding members and there were a couple of extra items thrown in (a coupon for 3 three months) and a drawstring bag. The other items included in the box were:
- a silicone feeding spoon shaped like an airplane (by Oogaa)
- Baby Butter (full sized by Bathtime Kids)
- Vaska laundry detergent samples
- Episcential sunscreen (travel sized) & a sample of the Soothing Creme
- Tooth Tissues (10 pk)
- Naturally It’s Clean Floor Cleaner sample
- Divine Mama Bars for lactation help!
- Love Munchkin Newborn Skin Oil
- NurtureMe Organic Dried baby food packets (2 flavors)
Of the items sent, I was familiar with 3 of them, LOVE 2 of them and the rest were very cool that I would be excited to try out with my little if I had one in the proper age range. I will absolutely be trying out the Mom-To-Be and Baby Boxes next time I’m lucky enough to travel that path!

I loved the EcoCentric Mom Baby box and if you are looking for a present for a new mom and would love to share some healthy green goods, this would be a great pick and affordable at only $17/month. While I haven’t seen the Mom-To-Be box, I bet that it would be filled with awesome quality, too.
