Shattered

 

When I went to Allume last year, I came back with a HUGE stack of books.   One of them was a fiction book that I really hadn’t planned on reading right away until I realized everyone had read it on the way home and was raving about it.   I was NOT disappointed and when I had the opportunity to review the next in the series, Shattered, I was ecstatic.

I really loved this book.  It had so many things going for it.  The first 3 pages were LOADED with drama and completely pulled me in.   And I’m used to suspense novels to kind of go along a path and just kind of get everything needed to get the guy.  This one was a complete surprise.  When the lead they had been following the whole book petered out, I couldn’t believe it.

 

It was loaded with suspense and romance.   And as always, I’m picky about how the Christian aspect is worked in.  I think that it was pretty natural and not forced.  You could see the conflict in the characters and not everyone was a believer.   I also liked that you could see many facets in the characters, too.

 

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes romantic suspense and doesn’t like to put icky mental pictures in their brain.
